visual diary part 4 – utopia
i wish more days like these. waking up in my sun flooded room, walking into friends, spending time with them instead of working, having a great vegan dinner, looking in the mirror saying i love you, doing something i’ve never done before, milling around in the city, taking stupid pictures, laughing and screaming. my personal utopia has much to do with independence, sharing time with my beloved ones, gaining new experiences and never stop dreaming. from a more widespread point of view i’m dreaming of a world without discrimination against people of colour, disabled people, poor people, gay and queer people, women … a world without borders, giving everyone the chance to become the person s_he wants to be. (maybe all these things sound naive to you and there are so much more things to be mentioned…)
besides: one more song by coco rosie because it fits so wonderful with my utopia – beautiful boyz. a few weeks ago i bought this wonderful graphic novel by shaun tawn. i love the illustrations. the story is about somebody having to migrate and starting a new existence in a unknown country. if you don’t search you’ll never have the chance to find your utopia.
the picture is originally part of momo, my zine project i hardly try to finish, the text belonging to this picture in the zine you can find here.
